The TGC offers two main qPCR instruments, the QuantStudio 3 at the Rapport site, and the QuantStudio 1 at the Emerson site.
QuantStudio 3 Real-Time PCR System is a 96-well configuration that allows maximum efficiency with a high level of performance for multiple applications, including genotyping, miRNA and gene expression analysis, copy number determination, strain identification, presence/absence detection, and melt curve analysis. At the core of the system are Applied Biosystems™ VeriFlex™ and OptiFlex™ technologies. OptiFlex technology provides enhanced fluorescence detection (4 coupled channels with white LED) enabling accurate and sensitive data analysis, while VeriFlex™ Blocks provide independent temperature zones for precise temperature control over your qPCR optimization.

The QuantStudio 1 Real-Time PCR System offers simple and optimized protocols, reliable assays and reagents, and intuitive software that are available for a broad range of applications, including gene expression, genetic variation, gene regulation, and more. The system can detect changes in target quantity as small as 1.5-fold in single-plex reactions and obtain 10 logs of linear dynamic range. The system offers the three most commonly used excitation and emission filters: FAM, VIC, and ROX for up to 3 multiplex set-ups. The QuantStudio 1 offers the quality, reliability, and advanced user experience of the QuantStudio family of instruments with a user-friendly interface.
