The Azrieli Technion Genomics Center is furnished with state-of-the-art technologies to empower our researchers to conduct cutting-edge applications in genomics.

Below is a comprehensive list of the technologies available at our center:

Nextseq2000
Next seq 2000
The NextSeq 2000 system delivers the power of high-throughput sequencing with the speed, simplicity, and affordability of a desktop NGS system.
Oxford Nanopore MinION

 Oxford Nanopore MinION
Ultra-long read lengths are possible (hundreds of kb) as you can choose your fragment length. The MinION streams data in real time so that analysis can be performed during the experiment and workflows are fully versatile.

10X chromium X Single Cell
The Chromium X Series is the next generation of instrumentation,
purposefully designed to enable high-throughput experiments.
Compared to the Chromium Controller, the Chromium X Series has:
• Similar performance as assessed by multiplet rates, library complexity,
read mapping rates, and cell clustering.
• Ability to run an assay with low throughput (LT) or high throughput (HT).
• Low throughput: 100–1,000 cells per channel
• High throughput: 2,000–20,000 cells per channel
2,000–60,000 cells per channel with CellPlex
• Standard assay: 500-10,000 cells per channel
500-30,000 cells per channel with CellPlex

QiaCube
The QIAcube (Qiagen) is a robotic workstation for extraction and purification of DNA and RNA that fully automates Qiagen spin-column kits.

Covaris
Covaris E-220 – multi-sample DNA shearing system
The Covaris E220 is a Focused Ultrasonicator designed for shearing of genomic DNA and chromatin.
Genetic Analyzer 3500XL
The 3500xl genetic analyzer (Life Technology) is fluorescence-based DNA analysis system that use proven capillary electrophoresis technology with 24-capillaries.
NEPA21 Electroporator
The NEPA21 Electroporator enables transfection of different cell lines including difficult-to-transfect-cells such as primary cells, stem cells, immune cells, blood cells, etc.

Agilent 4200 TapeStation

Using the same basic principles as gel electrophoresis, the Agilent 2200 TapeStation allows for fast and simple quality assessment of RNA and DNA samples. Only 1-2μl are required from each sample, and results are obtained within ~1 minute per sample.
